Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has dismissed distractions over the 2027 general elections, insisting that his administration is focused solely on fixing the state and delivering good governance.
Speaking on Saturday during a church service at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Umuikaa District, Isialangwa South Local Government Area, Otti said his priority remains development, not political calculations.
“I am not bothered about 2027.
The same God who settled 2023 will also settle 2027,” the governor stated, stressing that no individual or group would be allowed to derail his administration’s agenda.
Otti urged residents to ignore political noise and remain patient, assuring them that ongoing projects across the state would soon yield results.
He apologised for the inconvenience caused by road rehabilitation works, particularly around the Umuikaa Junction–Owerrinta Road, noting that such disruptions are part of development.
The governor disclosed that the road, though federal, is being reconstructed and dualised with approval from the Federal Government.
He added that similar projects are ongoing in other parts of the state to improve infrastructure and restore Abia’s identity.
According to Otti, the goal is clear: ensure that anyone entering Abia State can immediately feel the impact of good governance through visible development.
