Gov Kefas Reaffirms Commitment to Education, Donate Bus to College of Nursing

Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening education as a critical pillar of development in the state.

The governor gave the assurance while attending the maiden matriculation ceremony of AB Na’ibi College of Nursing Sciences in Lau Local Government Area on Tuesday. He described education as central to his administration’s vision, noting that ongoing reforms are focused on improving quality and maintaining standards across all educational institutions in Taraba State.

Governor Kefas commended the management of the institution for contributing to manpower development in the health sector and for expanding access to professional nursing education within the state.

As part of the state government’s support, the governor announced the donation of an 18-seater bus to the college to enhance students’ mobility. He also disclosed that the government will commence the construction of hostel blocks to improve accommodation and learning conditions for students.

The governor emphasized that his administration will continue to support institutions that align with its education and healthcare development goals, stressing that investment in human capital remains key to Taraba State’s long-term growth.

The event marked the first matriculation ceremony of the college, with newly admitted students formally welcomed into the institution’s academic community.
