“My Children Are Being Bullied” — Mercy Johnson Threatens Legal Action Over Online Defamation

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie has issued a strong warning to online trolls and bloggers spreading false stories about her, revealing that the rumours have led to her children being bullied and isolated at school.

In an emotional Instagram video shared on Monday, Johnson disclosed that some parents had allegedly instructed their children to avoid her kids over viral claims labelling her a “witch.”

She described the impact as painful and unacceptable, stressing that her family has been repeatedly targeted by malicious online narratives.

The actress also condemned ongoing speculations about the collapse of her marriage, stating that such attacks are deliberate attempts to harm her family.

While she confirmed dropping a case against one individual out of respect, Johnson made it clear that others spreading defamatory claims would be required to prove them in court.

She further accused some bloggers of being sponsored by rivals within the industry to circulate falsehoods.

Johnson concluded by thanking her supporters for standing by her and vowed not to tolerate any action that puts her children’s wellbeing at risk.

“I will not allow my kids to be bullied because of lies,” she said, emphasizing that more legal actions may follow.
