The police also recovered five firearms, two magazines, ammunition, a motorcycle, and ₦200,000 believed to be proceeds of crime.

In one major operation in Awe Local Government Area, police operatives, working with local hunters, rescued a kidnapped victim after engaging armed suspects in a forest.

One suspected kidnapper was neutralised during the encounter, while an AK-47 rifle and ammunition were recovered.

In a separate incident, two suspects—Musa Ahmed (29) and Adamu Yusuf (28)—were arrested along the Nasarawa Eggon–Mada Station Road after attempting to bribe police officers with ₦200,000.

Investigations revealed that the suspects were linked to a previous kidnapping in Kokona Local Government Area.

One of them was found nursing a gunshot wound sustained during an earlier encounter with security operatives.

The rescued victims have since been reunited with their families, while investigations continue.

The police command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the fight against kidnapping and other criminal activities across Nasarawa State.
