Anthony Joshua Survives Ogun Crash as Two Die on Lagos–Ibadan Expressway

World heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua was involved in a fatal road accident on Monday along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, leaving two people dead.

The crash occurred around 11am near Danco Filling Station in Makun, close to the Sagamu Interchange. Joshua was travelling in a Lexus SUV convoy when the vehicle reportedly collided with a stationary truck. Eyewitnesses said the boxer sustained minor injuries.

According to reports, the Lexus SUV had four occupants. Two passengers the one seated beside the driver and another beside Joshua died instantly. Joshua and one other occupant were rescued and taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps arrived shortly after the accident, while Ogun State Police later confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.

Fans have since taken to social media to express concern for the boxer, as authorities continue to monitor his condition and provide further updates.
