Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reiterated that his love for dancing does not diminish his effectiveness as a leader.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Adeleke dismissed critics who claim his public dance displays suggest a lack of seriousness.
According to him, dancing is simply a personal way of praising God and relaxing.
“Everyone has their way of relaxing. My hobby is to dance, and it does not affect my work,” he said.
Adeleke recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Accord Party, where he has already emerged as the governorship candidate for the August 8, 2026 election. He explained that the defection was necessary to protect his people focused policies and secure continuity in governance.
“We have taken the bold step of moving to the Accord Party to ensure the sustainability of our people-centered agenda beyond 2026,” he stated.
