Troops of Sector 5, Operation Peace Shield, have rescued 10 abducted farmers in Kaduna State, recovering assault weapons and a large sum of ransom money from the kidnappers.
According to a statement released Friday on the Nigerian Army’s official X handle, the victims were seized while working on their farms in Ungwan Nungu, Sanga Local Government Area.
The operation, carried out after a swift offensive on the kidnappers’ hideout, led to the safe recovery of all victims.
The Army reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining aggressive operations against banditry and restoring peace across the region.
