The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dissociated itself from the party’s national convention scheduled to take place on November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In a statement signed by key members of the state executive and local government chairpersons, the Rivers PDP alleged that Governor Siminalayi Fubara was deliberately excluded from critical consultations leading up to the convention.
The statement carried the signatures of Kingsley Waite, Tombari Sydney Gbara, Victor Pepple, Otamiri John Ngubo and Ejekwu Princewill, among others, who collectively declared that the state chapter would not participate in the event.
