Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has approved a ₦150,000 Christmas bonus for all civil servants in the state for the 2025 festive season.
The announcement was made on Sunday during a church service at the Government House Chapel in Abakaliki, according to a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor.
Governor Nwifuru said the bonus underscores his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare, despite the state facing reduced revenue in the past year.
During the service, the governor also dismissed reports suggesting delays in the construction of the Vincent Agwu Nwankwo Flyover. He described the project as complex but assured residents that it would significantly improve the state’s infrastructure and visual appeal once completed.
Nwifuru added that misinformation about the flyover’s progress, especially on social media, does not reflect the reality on ground.
