The Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has been confirmed dead after collapsing in his office on Thursday afternoon.
According to official sources, the incident occurred at about 1:30 pm when the Deputy Governor suddenly slumped during official duties at the Government House, Yenagoa. He was immediately rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, where medical personnel made efforts to resuscitate him before he was later certified dead.
