Football lovers have received exciting news as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have announced that fans travelling to the tournament will enjoy a free electronic visa.
The new policy applies to supporters from countries that normally require a visa before entering Morocco, making travel easier and more accessible for thousands of fans.
In a statement issued on Friday, CAF said:
“The e-visa available through the YALLA app will now be free for all fans attending AFCON 2025, scheduled to run from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.”
CAF explained that fans will need two essential documents before they can enter Morocco and access stadiums; Fan ID and e-Visa.
To make the process seamless, both the Fan ID and e-visa will be available in one place on the YALLA app.
CAF added, “applications for both the Fan ID and e-visa will be processed smoothly through the YALLA app, offering a faster, easier and more secure experience for international and Moroccan fans.”
How to Apply
Fans can apply by:
- Downloading the YALLA app from Google Play or the Apple Store
- Visiting the official YALLA website
- Filling out the Fan ID application form
- Submitting an e-visa request (if required)
Once approval is granted, fans can proceed to purchase match tickets through the CAF ticketing platform.
Morocco Ready to Host Africa Again
CAF noted that these new measures aim to ensure a smooth, secure and enjoyable experience for spectators attending Africa’s biggest football event. AFCON 2025 will be held across nine stadiums in six host cities.
Morocco, which last hosted the tournament in 1988, is preparing to welcome 24 national teams and thousands of supporters as the continent’s rising football stars take centre stage in 2025.
